Reggie Cannon

Reginald Cannon is a native of Newberry, South Carolina. He was born and raised by his grandmother in Bethlehem Garden Apartments where he lived until leaving for college. He is a 1986 graduate of Newberry High School and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Wingate University in Wingate, North Carolina. He is a member of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.

At an early age, Reggie worked at Sandlapper Chevrolet washing cars to help curtail expenses for his grandmother, Ms. Claudia Cannon. After returning home from college in 1991, he became an insurance agent for Liberty Life Insurance Company. In 1993, he entered the automobile industry as a salesman. Reggie's skills in the automotive industry landed him "Salesman of the Year" for five consecutive years. After realizing his true ability in sales, in 2003, Reggie took on another adventure and opened Cannon and Graves Auto Sales. Reggie has sold thousands of cars in Newberry and surrounding areas. Reggie is best known for his slogan, "Friends don't let friends drive Junk." 

Reggie is married to the former TaShawn Douglas, a veteran educator, of Blair, South Carolina. To this union, they are blessed with Christin Price, Reggie Jr, Nytyia Claudia, and one granddaughter, Amari Price. Reggie's favorite scripture comes from Psalm 37:23: "The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighted in his way".
