Duane Abney

Duane Abney is the son of Barbara R. Abney. He attended Newberry County Schools.  Dwane was the Drum Major for Newberry High School in 1984. He attended Lander University, where he majored in music education. Dwane attended the Atlanta School of Sleep Medicine, where he earned two credentials, RPSGT and RST. Duane currently works for Sleep Med. In Columbia, SC.  He is the lead singer for Flashback the Party Band. Dwane's biggest inspiration and mentor was Lorraine Paris, band director of Newberry High School. His motto is "Live so that when you're gone, it would have mattered."
